CREATE A MESSAGE FOR
"OUR COMMUNITY” MURAL
Please come by the mural table and write a message about our community.
You can write/draw about any thing you want in any language/color you chose. Some topics include:
Ø THOUGHTS: What does community mean to you?
Ø IDEAS: How can we improve community relations?
Ø CULTURE: Tell us about your community or culture; or about your (ancestors’) journey to Miami-Dade.
Ø HISTORY: Inform us about an event that or person who helped change this community.
Ø COMMITMENT: Pledge to make a better community.
During the Community Relations Board’s “Uniting our Cultures” Conference and 40th Anniversary Dinner Gala, Miami artist Xavier Cortada will be incorporating these individual voices into the first panel of a much larger mural about our Community, which is to be permanently installed in our County Hall Lobby.
