Creation of the
GIVING VOICE TO FAMILIES

Community Mural

September 12 -14, 2002, New York City

"The mural and its conveyance of hope, despair, support, and emotion is a powerful articulation of how we work at Family Justice. The new mural, tentatively titled "Giving Voice to Families" beautifully and poignantly portrays how we are all deeply touched by HIV/AIDS and how all of our hands reach out to help those in need."

Carol Shapiro, Executive Director
Family Justice

Although the 46,656 votes I received during the September 10th, 2002 election weren't enough to win, I am very proud of the campaign we ran and the impact that we made.  I am grateful for the help I received from friends who believed in me and my ability to serve as a juvenile judge. Thank you.
