White House Conference on Minority Homeownership.  Cortada created the "Stepping into the American Dream" mural (partial image on left) during the Washington, DC Conference in October 2002.

Xavier Cortada has worked with the Miami Dade Housing Agency in inter-agency efforts to implement mural projects involving residents of public housing, see samples below. 

 

PATH (Public Art Transforming Housing), a collaborative project with Miami-Dade Housing Department, Miami-Dade Art in Public Places and the Miami-Dade Police Department aimed at eliminating drugs in nine public housing sites.

Public Art/Public Housing: Naranja Public Housing Art Project, a collaborative effort between the Metro-Dade Housing Agency and Metro Dade Art in Public Places, Miami, Florida.
