PLURALMiami

Por/By  antonio zaya

Plural is a grammatical concept that indicates an amount superior to a single unit. Except in the languages that have the dual one, in which the plural one supposes to be greater than  two units. Also plural, as far as art goes, is in fact a concept of coexistence of diverse things, of coexistence among compatible or or disparate, even antagonistic factors. In this sense, PLURALMiami is, before anything else, an overseas construct, a vision from Europe, of a plural and polysemic scene that becomes real in today’s Miami which presents and adds value, simultaneously parallel to the Great Contemporary Art Market other artistic expressions, more or less ignored, more or less absent from it, but which make up the weave that we all embroider.  PLURALMiami does not aim to be an enchanted amount that contains the dialectic essence but, rather, a personal selection 'in red', that gives visibility to other relations and possible scenes, beyond the promiscuity, beyond these anxious times, beyond the material and contextual limits of other borders and flags that cross over even post-territoriality and its derivations.

Plural
