northern-ireland-mural-thumb.jpg (13691 bytes)Children's Friendship Project for Northern Ireland mural sponsored by the U.S. Department of State:  Miami artist Xavier Cortada will travel to Northern Ireland to create a collage-mural to capturing the lessons learned by the 132 youth who visited America during Summer 2000 to participate in the Children's Friendship Project for Northern Ireland.


ambassador-s.JPG (8847 bytes)Creation of "Listen to the Children of the Green Island," a collaborative mural (60" x 144") created on the Green Line (the UN Peace Keeping Mission Buffer Zone separating the Greek and Turkish Cypriot communities) with hearing-impaired Cypriot youth from both sides in an  International Earth Day project sponsored by the United States Embassy in Cyprus, June 2 to 11, 2000.


Arab-Jewish Community Center, Jaffa: Worked with Russian Jewish children on art activity that fostered respect for diversity and encouraged teamwork.  March 18, 1999 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
