Family Dialogue Day Mural

July 19, 1997

Atlanta, Georgia

Xavier Cortada facilitated Atlanta youth and families in the creation of an on-site community mural at the Sci-Trek Museum during the community's Family Dialogue Day. The HBO On-site Mural Project allowed Atlanta residents to express their collective and individual concerns about substance abuse as part of a larger event aimed at broadening America’s understanding of the tremendous impact of alcohol, tobacco and illicit drug use. These community outreach activities were sponsored in tandem with the HBO airing of a Faces of Addiction, a three-part series on substance abuse to generate awareness and coalesce residents into action

For more information about the mural, please contact: Pat Conner, Regional Manager, Affiliate Public Relations, Home Box Office, 3399 Peachtree Road, N.E, Suite 1600, Atlanta, GA 30326.
